IDOLBOT

the year is 2067, and you have just gained consciousness in a cold room that is empty but for a dead cockroach in the corner. you are plugged into the wall. you are not alive, but you aren't dead, either. who are you? who made you? and why are you here?

play as an idol/god/machine/human?/thing that has gained sentience. try to stay alive and explore questions such as: what is the difference between the religious idol and the pop music idol? or: what is the difference between AI and an actual literal god? 

this is a sci-fi/horror interactive fiction short story made as a preliminary draft/demo for the concept. depending on circumstances, it may be expanded into a larger project. this current iteration is 5-10 minutes long and approximately 2k words with multiple routes and a good and bad ending.
